As you may know, my name is Karie Hammond. I have been an occupational therapist, a Reiki Master and Yoga instructor for over 20+ years, and am finishing up my clinical aromatherapy certification. I recently completed my level 1 Herbalist course and am excited for part 2. I am completing my aromatherapy level 1 certification.

 

As an occupational therapist, I love to help people be their best body, mind, spirit, and soul. I also work with children who have sensory integration concerns, handwriting, and fine motor concerns. I have been a school therapist for since 2015 and love helping children increase their ability to have legible handwriting. I have worked with people with sensory concerns since 2014 and have several assessments that I use to help us, as a team come up with a plan to help integrate their sensory system.

 

I worked in Rehabilitation facilities for 18 years, when I completed my cupping classes I realized how much I missed hands-on work with people. I now incorporate occupational therapy with cupping, fascia work, and essential oils!

 

I love that I can incorporate doTERRA essential oils into all aspects of my profession. I use them when I teach yoga, Reiki, and bodywork! I diffuse them during our OT sessions at school as well. I am blessed to have a profession that allows me to be the best of who I am. Occupational therapy is a holistic therapeutic approach, we look at the whole person, not just what their concern is at the moment, but how they got there in the first place.

 

I want you to be able to go back to your life without/decreased pain and increased range of motion. Most of the time people can get back to what they love, but remember however long it took you to get where you are now, it will take a while to get you back to where you were.
